The Colorado Golf Hall of Fame

Did you know Colorado has its very own Golf Hall of Fame? Most people do not know exactly where the Hall of Fame is located. In 2003, Rivderdale Golf Course offered space in the clubhouse for the Hall. This is exactly where you can find it today.

Prior to moving to Riverdale, the Hall was located at Park hill Golf course until 1984, then moved to the Denver Tech Center. With very little space, their next move was to Riverdale Golf Course.

The Colorado Golf Hall of Fame features names such as “Rip” Arnold, “Spike” Baker, Hale Irwin and the very first inductee, Babe Lind. Players are nominated from those who know about their golf game, or teaching instruction. There are thirty-five members on the Board of Directors who evaluate each nominated person. The main categories are: 1.) Playing ability and record 2.) Teaching ability and results 3.) Administration and working within the game 4.) Promotion and staging. Each nominee must receive 51% of votes for induction.
