BBgpsgolf.com provides a FREE application that turns your Blackberry into a golf GPS device. I first heard about this from a friend and I found it hard to believe as I paid quite a bit of money for my SkyCaddy and subscription service. I downloaded it, configured the settings and was completely amazed at how well it worked.

Not only did it have most of the Denver area courses loaded but it also keeps track of score, putts, greens in regulation, fairways in regulation, bunker shots, putts, penalty strokes, club distances and shot performance. You can save all of this information to the memory card in your phone and look at it on the web site in a meaningful fashion. This app is impressive!

I won’t be renewing my SkyCaddy subscription.
