Best Golf Gloves
Many of you, including myself find a glove, make sure it is within your budget, and add it to your bag. Very few people actually make sure they they are playing with the best quality of glove, and at the right size. People find that as long as it avoids blisters on the hands, it is doing it’s job… Check again. The glove is another piece of equipment that needs to be analyzed before the final purchase if you want your money’s worth. Golf Digest rated the top gloves according to quality, and price. For those of you who do not mind spending more than $15 for the glove, Golf Digest suggests the Callaway Tour Authentic (for a greater range of motion), Footjoy Sciflex (flexibility across knuckles), Nike Dry-Fit Tour TW (Performance), or Titleist Players-Flex (feel).
If you happen to be more frugal, Golf Digest has performed tests on the best gloves under $15 as well. The Etonic G>Sok has a longer cuff for stability. As far as the best glove for feel, the Footjoy Sofjoy avoids tension while gripping the golf club. Security on the hand is the best feature of the Footjoy SPIDR2 with its elastic band on the closure. And for those who want a performance glove, look no further than the Wilson Staff Conform. This glove contains the negative ion treatment that the Trion:Z specializes in to relieve stress.
As far as the proper treatment of the glove, to avoid losing the oils on the glove, keep it in a ziplock bag, or in it’s original packaging when not in use. Instead of pulling out a crispy, wrinkled glove, reach into your bag and pull out a “like-new” glove every round. So the next time you go to buy a glove, think twice about spending $5 for the cheapest glove and spend the extra money because “you get what you pay for”.
